Zidane once again rules out interest to become Man Utd coach

It appears former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is not ready to return to football coaching any time soon; this comes as the France international has once again ruled out moves to become the Red Devils next manager.

Following the Red Devils recent defeat to Man City over the weekend, there have been calls for the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Man Utd coach.

Zidane, alongside Antonio Conte, have continuously been mentioned as a possible replacement for Solskjaer, with the Frenchman currently a free agent, having not taken on another role since leaving Real Madrid earlier this year.

However, Conte is out as the Italian manager recently signed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur.

In the case of Zidane, a report via AS reports revealed it would be ‘almost impossible for the 49-year-old to accept the position, as he is waiting for the France job to become available.

The report claimed that Zidane could be tempted back into club management but would want to join a team with a ‘clear winning project’ rather than an outfit in transition.

Leicester City coach Brendan Rogers seems to be the only available option for Man Utd.
