Chelsea striker and Belgium international Romelu Lukaku has been advised against making a return to the Italian club Inter Milan.

This comes amidst speculations that Lukaku could return to San Siro in the summer transfer window.

Former Juventus and West Ham forward Paolo Di Canio, in a recent statement, has warned the Blues striker against leaving the West London club.

According to Di Canio, the Belgian striker would be on the bench at Inter Milan as he doesn’t have the ‘quality’ of Edin Dzeko, who has scored 14 goals so far this season for the Serie A giants.

“He would be very expensive considering that he would be a reserve in this Inter side,” Di Canio told Sky Sport Italia.

“Inter have a different playing style, with more quality and a striker [Edin Dzeko] almost playing as an attacking midfielder. Lukaku doesn’t have this quality.”

Lukaku, during his stay at San Siro, scored 64 goals in 96 games and won the Italian Seria A with Inter Milan before deciding to return to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021.

However, the Belgium international seems t be having a tough time at Chelsea, with only five goals in 17 EPL matches to his name this season.
