Former Chelsea star, John Terry in a recent statement has said that Sergio Aguero copied his celebration style after Argentina’s World Cup win over France on Sunday night.

Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties to emerge the winner of the 2022 world cup.

While Aguero forcefully retired from football last year due to a heart issue, he, was, however, with the national team throughout the tournament.

A highlight from the match showed the moment he rushed onto the pitch after their victory was confirmed.

Former Chelsea captain, Terry in 2012 celebrated the Blues Champions League title win in a full kit despite being suspended by UEFA for the game.

Speaking on beIN Sports during the Argentina game against France, Terry noted that Aguero had copied his celebration but pointed out that the Manchester City legend should have done more.

He said: “Aguero has gone for the full John Terry there hasn’t he? I did it first.”

“If you’re going to do it, at least go for it and put the shin pads and boots on,” the former England star added on Twitter.
