Following the Red Devils recent loss over the weekend to Man City, there are speculation that Norway international Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could lose his place as the team coach.

With the possibility of this happening, the latest reports have claimed that former RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick is open to the idea of replacing Solskjaer as head coach of Manchester United.

Recall that former Chelsea coach and Italy international Antonio Conte was among the favourites that were lineup to become Man Utd coach. However, he has since taken a new coaching job at Tottenham Hotspur.

With this, the Red Devils are left with the option of signing Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers as their next manager.

According to German journalist Christian Falk, he, however, claimed that Rangnick is also in the picture, with the 63-year-old interested in making the move to Old Trafford.

Rangnick was previously the director of football at Red Bull Salzburg and Leipzig before managing the latter in two separate spells between 2015 and 2019.

The report revealed the Germany international is currently working as head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow but would be readily available to take over at Old Trafford.
