France international, Olivier Giroud was the man of the match on Wednesday night during their face-off with Sevilla in the Uefa Champions League.

Giroud scored four goals for the Blues to help them confirm their top spot in their Champions League group with a game to spare.

The French forward scored a hat-trick before adding a penalty to make it four goals.

Giroud in a post match statement rated his performance where he said to BT Sports “Well, yeah, when you win 4-0 in the Champions League away game, it’s always a good feeling.

“We took the game from the front foot and we were efficient up front. It was a good night and also for me because I scored four goals.”

His performance last night would make it difficult for coach Frank Lampard to make a decision on who he would start as the central striker between the French player and Tammy Abraham against Leeds United on Saturday.

This is because Lampard has played Abraham as the central striker this season leaving Giroud with no Premier League starts to date.

Transfer Deal: Chelsea still keen on signing Premier league midfielder

It is also now uncertain if the Blues would be willing to let Giroud leave in January as he has been linked with moves to the Italian Seria A where he could join Inter Milan and AC Milan. He could also move to the American league to join Inter Miami.

Only time will tell if Chelsea would keep him or let him go.
