Manchester United were without Marcus Rashford during their weekend game vs Newport in the FA Cup.

Before the match, the club had revealed that Rashford would be available because of sickness.

The reports revealed that Rashford was absent during training on Friday as a result of the sickness.

Man United initially defended video clips of the England forward entering a nightclub in Belfast, Northern Ireland, when they went viral on Friday.

The club in a statement claimed it was on Wednesday night, before a scheduled day off on Thursday.

However, the reports insist Rashford was also at a nightclub in the Northern Ireland capital on Thursday night.

A United statement has now said: “Marcus Rashford is not well enough to be in the squad for Newport following illness; he has stayed at Carrington to train as he recovers.”

So far this season, Rashford has scored only four goals in all competitions for the Red Devils.
