Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has sent a message to Chelsea manager Graham Potter on how to handle their poor form.

Chelsea have struggled in their last three Premier League outing as they suffered defeats to Brighton, Arsenal and recently Newcastle United.

Going into the world cup, Chelsea are now seated at the 8th spot and would have to work hard to make it back to the top four.

Merson said Potter needs to stop changing the team and instead make a selection of his best team to boost their consistency.

The former Arsenal star told Sky Sport: “He’s got to stop changing the team – I don’t think he knows what his best team is at the moment. When you’ve got a lorry load of top players it becomes more difficult to know what your best team is.

“The problem for Potter is that he has such a talented squad, which he’s got to keep happy, but he’s got to get his team right quickly. They were well beaten last week. You can’t do that at Chelsea because the fans won’t have it.”
