Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy has given his take on Chelsea’s new summer signing, Nicolas Jackson.

According to Murphy, Jackson is not ready and would struggle to get game time at Stamford Bridge under manager Mauricio Pochettino next season.

Recall that the Blues recently sealed a deal for Jackson from Spanish La Liga side Villarreal this summer.

Speaking on Vibe with Five, Murphy said, “He [Jackson] is not ready, but I have seen some super finishing from him [Christopher Nkunku] last season but I am not sure where he is going to play.”

The Blues completed a £35 million deal for the Senegalese star who joined the Blues on an eight-year contract.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to trim down their squad as Christian Pulisic becomes the latest player to exit the club this summer transfer window.

Pulisic has moved to the Italian club AC Milan where he signed a four-year deal on Thursday.
