Former Chelsea star Craig Burnley has shared his take on English midfielder Mason Mount’s transfer to Old Trafford.

Burnley believe Mount may experience regrets over for joining Manchester United.

Recall that Mount, who was key figure at Stamford Bridge, left the Blues to join Man Utd last summer in a £60 million deal.

The midfielder left Chelsea after a successful stint that saw him win the 2021 Champions League triumph.

Since moving to Old Trafford, Mount has struggled to impress for Man Utd.

The midfielder secure a rare start against Crystal Palace on Monday, but was unable to prevent the humiliating 4-0 loss the Red Devils suffered.

This has further put scrutiny on Mount’s move to Old Trafford.

Amid his struggles at Man Utd, Burley opined that Mount might be questioning his decision to exit Chelsea, suggesting that the transition to Manchester United hasn’t unfolded the way he expected.

“Mason Mount, obviously he’s had an injury-ravaged season, but even when he’s been fit he looks like a guy who’s thinking, ‘oh my god, I’ve just made a big mistake’,” Burley commented to ESPN.

Recall that the English midfielder’s move to Old Trafford was marred by injury setbacks.

His poor form has limited his Premier League starts to just five with the Red Devils.
