Why Man Utd will regret not signing Napoli striker

Daily Mail columnist Tom Collomosse in a recent statement has said Manchester United will regret not signing Victor Osimhen from Italian club Napoli this summer.

Recall that the Red Devils were among the many clubs who were linked with moves for the Nigerian striker, they, however, opted to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta

However, following their lucky 1-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, Collomosse said the Red Devils would regret not signing Osimhen.

According to Collomosss, one of Osimhen or former Tottenham star Harry Kane would have been a perfect signing for the Red Devils.

“They (United) were toothless in front of goal against Gary O’Neil’s men and if they have not resolved this problem when Hojlund returns, the pressure will be even greater,” Collomosse wrote.

“Either Osimhen or Kane would have been perfect. Osimhen is a complete No 9 with the personality to fire Napoli to only the third Serie A title in their history. They will regret not moving for him.”
