After they were unable to convince Moises Caicedo to join them over Chelsea, Liverpool are now said to be planning to hijack Manchester United’s move for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

A report via the Dutch publication, AD, alleged that the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has “spoken directly” with the player already.

Klopp and Liverpool are currently in the market to sign a defensive midfielder and have lost out on both Romeo Lavia and Caicedo, who have opted to join Chelsea instead.

However, the Reds are set to battle it out with Man Utd as Amrabat is ready to snub a move to Old Trafford to sign for Liverpool.

There are claims that Klopp has managed to convince the Moroccan international, and the 26-year-old midfielder now wants a move to Anfield.

Amrabat has been linked with moves to Man United since impressing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as Morocco upset the odds to reach the semi-finals.
