Former Chelsea forward Joe Cole has insisted that the sacking of his former teammate Frank Lampard was the harshest that ever happened in the club’s history.

Frank Lampard was a club legend during his time as a player with Chelsea and it wasn’t surprising when he was signed to take over the role left by Mauricio Sarri.

The English trainer first season was impressive as he led his young team to an FA Cup final as well as a top four finishing in the Premier League.

However, this season has not been impressive for Lampard who spent fortunes during the transfer window as his side lost six out of their last eight Premier League matches before he was dismissed.

Joe Cole who spent seven years with Frank Lampard at Chelsea has now insisted that Roman Abramovic’s decision to sack his former teammate was the harshest he has ever known.

Speaking on the latest edition of the All To Play For podcast by bookmaker Coral, Joe Cole stated that the sacking of Frank is the harshest of all the Chelsea managers which have been dismissed.

According to Joe Cole, Lampard has not had a bad spell in 18 months and he think it’s a mistake letting him go.
