Why former Real Madrid manager turned down Chelsea, Man Utd offers

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was once linked with coaching jobs at Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea.

In a recent statement, Zidane’s former national teammate, Marcel Desially, suggested reason why the Frenchman turned down offers to move to the English domestic league.

According to Deisally, Zidane desires to the French national team coach.

He further claimed that the former Madrid boss turned down offers from Manchester United and Chelsea.

Desailly alleged that Zidane was offered a blank cheque by the two Premier League clubs, but rejected the offer.

The former player stated that Zidane has what it takes to lead the next generation of French footballers to win the world game.

Desailly while speaking of if Zidane will be tempted by money to move to the Saudi Pro League, told Oddspedia how he had a blank cheque on the table from Chelsea and Manchester United, which he turned down.

“He isn’t in it for the money. He likes to travel and always keeps an eye on the France national team,” Desailly noted.

While Chelsea now have Enzo Maresca as their manager, Manchester United signed Ruben Amorim to take over the wheel of the club.
