Former Chelsea star Glenn Hoddle has told the club that one of their January signings, David Datro Fofana is not ready to play.

According to Hoddle, the French attacker is not the answer to the Blues’ issues at the front following their goalless draw with Fulham on Friday evening.

Recall that Fofana moved to Stamford Bridge in an £8 million deal from Molde during the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old attacker made his debut for the Blues, coming on as a substitute in their 0-0 draw against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

So far, the Blues led by Graham Potter have only been able to score two goals in their last six games in all competitions.

While analysing football matches on Premier League Productions, Hoddle was asked if Fofana will be the answer to Chelsea’s attacking problems, he said “No, he’s not the answer.

“He’s not ready now. Even if he had an absolute blinder and scored two goals he wouldn’t be the answer yet.”
