Former Chelsea manager who is now in charge at Tottenham, Antonio Conte, has told the club’s Chairman, Daniel Levy, not to sign former Chelsea star, Eden Hazard from Real Madrid, according to El Chiringuito.

After signing Conte as their new coach a few weeks back, Levy promised Conte would get access to funds to improve the squad in the January transfer window.

The Italian has in mind to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic while the club wants to sign Hazard from Real Madrid.

The report claims that Levy is determined to sign the Belgium captain to Tottenham; however, Conte is not supportive of the move as he was disappointed with the player’s effort levels while they were together at Stamford Bridge.

Instead, Conte has told Tottenham to re-sign Gareth Bale.

“Daniel Levy would like to take a Real Madrid player who is always injured,” Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda told El Chiringuito.

“He wanted to sign Eden Hazard, but Conte has told him ‘no’ because he knows him from when he trained at Chelsea and says that he has little intensity and that he is not a very hard worker.

“The most striking thing is the player that Conte has asked Levy to take him to London. He is Gareth Bale.

“Bale ends his contract at the end of the season, but in winter he would not be free.”
