Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has opened up on how difficult it would be for the club to finish in the top four this season.

Gallas in his statement also issued a warning to Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly that he would be blamed if the Blues fails to finish in the top Premier League.

Before the season break, Chelsea, who have been struggling this season seat in the eighth position on the Premier League table with 21 points from 14 games.

“I think getting into the top four will be very difficult for them, even if they went out and signed a forward. It will be very hard for Chelsea to finish in the top four,” Gallas told Genting Casino.

“If Chelsea doesn’t finish in the top four, Todd Boehly would have failed.

“There can be no excuses for a club like Chelsea finishing outside of the top four.

“We are always very quick to judge players on their performance and it should be the same for the owner.
