Why Chelsea have a higher chance of signing this 28-year-old defender ahead of Juventus, PSG and Real Madrid

With the January transfer window barely some weeks away, Chelsea have shown interest to sign a pre-contract deal with Austrian player, David Alaba and the Blues hope to get him for free.

After Alaba failed to renew his contract with Bayern Munich, the reports have revealed that the Bundesliga giants have taken the offer off the table, which means he would be allow to leave for free in the summer.

Chelsea will be hoping to get the 28-year-old to sign a deal with them ahead of the Summer window.

The Premier league giants will send representatives to talk with Alaba’s agent in the New Year and convince the defender his future belongs at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea also have a chance of signing Alaba ahead of big clubs like Juventus, Real Madrid and PSG who have also shown interest in him as his agent Pini Zahavi has helped Chelsea seal many transfers in the past.

The reports also revealed that EPL sides Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are also interested in the defender.

Alaba is considered one of the most wanted players in Europe owing to his attributes and prowess.

Chelsea will need a versatile player like him at the back to help strengthen their defense if they want to be perceived as a serious contender in the EPL.
