Arsenal are no longer a part of the club in the race to sign Moises Caicedo this summer.

The Gunners dropped out because of the money that would be involved in signing the player.

This has now paved the way for Chelsea, who can secure a deal for him instead.

The Gunners tried to sign Caicedo in the January transfer window and submitted a bid that was rejected by the Seagulls.

Although the deal didn’t happen, the 21-year-old, however, struck an agreement that he would be allowed to leave in the summer should Brighton receive a suitable offer.

According to Teradeportes in Ecuador, Caicedo was keen on a move to the Arsenal and a personal agreement had already been reached.

Brighton are, however, demanding over £80 million for a player with only 18 months of Premier League experience under his belt, an amount the Gunners are unwilling to pay.

The Gunners have instead focused on signing Declan Rice from West Ham.
