Former Arsenal star, Emmanuel Petit has named Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti as the perfect manager to replace Frank Lampard at Chelsea.

According to Petit, Ancelotti, who coached Chelsea in the past, has won everything in the game.

Following their poor form, Chelsea have continued the search for a permanent manager that will replace Lampard, who they sign on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Aside from Ancelotti, the likes of Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann have been linked with moves to Chelsea.

While Ancelotti recently ruled out a return to the Premier League, Petit hopes to see him again at Stamford Bridge.

“There are so many managers linked with Chelsea. Every day you open the newspapers, then you hear it on the radio and the television that there are five or six different managers in the frame,” Petit told LegalSportsbooks.

“I would love to see Carlo Ancelotti apply for the Chelsea job, but he said last week that he won’t come back to England, he won’t come back to Chelsea. Maybe he is a bit tired. He has won everything. Maybe he is very close to retirement, I have no idea.”
