Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has queried Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s decision to complete a transfer for German attacker Kai Havertz from Chelsea.

It is no longer news that the North London side are keen on signing Havertz, who is close to becoming their first summer signing.

The German star is set to join Arteta’s side in a deal worth up to £65million and is being handed a long-term contract.

However, Bent in a recent statement has now expressed his concern over Havertz, as he wants to know where he will fit in Arteta’s squad.

Bent wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, “I trust Arteta and the vision he has for Arsenal moving forward, but I need someone to explain this Havertz situation to me and where he fits in?”

Chelsea are keen on selling a number of their players this summer in order to avoid breaking the Financial Fair Play FFP rule
