Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino in a recent statement has revealed when Christopher Nkunku will play for the club again.

Nkunku has been missing in action for the Blues as he is currently recovering from a severe knee injury.

Recall that the France international sustained the injury during pre-season.

During a pre-match statement ahead of their Premier League clash vs Brentford this weekend, Pochettino gave an update on Nkunku.

The manager said the attacker could be back in action for the west London club after the next international break.

“He [Christoper Nkunku] is doing well; I think he is close, and I hope he can be involved soon,” Pochettino said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Maybe after the international break. Maybe not, not sure.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea will hope to win all three points when they face Brentford. They head to the game after their 2-2 draw vs Arsenal last weekend.
