West Ham set sight on Chelsea striker ahead of January transfer window
London club West Ham United are looking to sign Oliver Giroud from Chelsea as they see him as an alternative to under fired Sebastien Haller at the club.
The future of Giroud has been in the spotlight for the past few weeks as the World Cup Winner has been tipped with a move away from Chelsea despite putting up some impressive performance ever since the season started.
Giroud has been forced to fight for a starting spot in the Chelsea team with Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner getting game time ahead of him in the team list.
However, the 34-year-old has proved his worth in the past few matches firing in goals from all cylinders.

With Euro 2021 in sight, Giroud is eager to play more minutes and West Ham are trying to offer him a way out due to the fact that Haller hasn’t been good enough this season.
Haller has scored just twice in 11 matches so far this term and with first-choice striker Michail Antonio currently injured, David Moyes is not ready to take any chances .
According to the Mirror, the Hammers will try to persuade Giroud into making the move to London Stadium in January.
The Frenchman played no part in Chelsea’s win over West Ham on Monday night but will be hoping to make an appearance when the blues face his former club, Arsenal, on boxing day.
