Chelsea star and American international Christian Pulisic was deployed in a left-forward role against the French Ligue 1 side, Lille, during their UCL clash on Tuesday night.

Pulisic, alongside Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech, made up the Blues attacking line as Romelu Lukaku was left on the bench.

The American would go on to score one of the two goals for Chelsea against Lille, and it seems he enjoyed playing in the position and feels his partnership with Kai and Hakim worked well on Wednesday night.

‘I really enjoyed playing as part of the front three,’ added the American. ‘We have so many good attacking options so you know whichever guys come in will help the team.

‘Kai had a really good game for us and I enjoyed linking up with Hakim as well. They’re all really talented players and I think we all offer the team something a little bit different, which is good.

‘We all seem to gel really well and that’s a good thing to have in a team.’

Pulisic is expected to return to action when the Blues face Liverpool in the Carabao League final this weekend.
