Ahead of the Uefa Champions League final this weekend, Chelsea and Man City will go head to head and Pep Guardiola has sent a message to the Blues manager, Thomas Tuchel.

While Tuchel arrived at Stamford Bridge in January, he has met with Guardiola and his Man City squad in the Premier League and FA Cup.

However, Tuchel defeated Guardiola both times, making the Blues have a good chance of winning the UCL trophy.

Guardiola in a recent statement has said Tuchel wouldn’t defeat him again as Man City hope to lift the UCL trophy for the first time.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel, the Manchester City boss was asked whether the recent defeats will hand Tuchel’s side any kind of advantage, to which Guardiola said: “Absolutely nothing – zero.”

He continued, “I know how we prepared for this final and the reason why we came just two days after qualifying through the Dortmund game and after the semi-finals, you know in that moment – well deserved, congratulations to Chelsea, but it’s a new game, we’ll face them Saturday and see what happens.”

Man City have won the Premier League and Carabao League titles this season and would hope to add the UCL as the third.
