Two things Man Utd new manager must do

Former Manchester United player, Jaap Stam, has dropped an advice for the club’s new manager, Erik ten Hag.

Stam, in a statement, advised Ten Hag to spend money and bring in players of a certain ability that fit his style of football.

This comes after the Red Devils unveiled the Dutchman as their new manager as he signed a three-year deal – with the option to extend to the 4th year.

Ten Hag will officially take over the reins at Old Trafford at the end of this season.

The 52-year-old Dutchman is popular for his attacking kind of football and Stam wants Ten Hag to restructure the Red Devils’ squad to suit his style.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Stam said of Ten Hag’s task at Man United: “To do the same in the Premier League of course, then you need to spend money, you need to bring in players of a certain ability because they need to fit in his philosophy of playing.

“What he’s been trying to do in Holland, probably he’s going to try to do the same thing in England at Manchester United.

“Is it easy? No, the quality of teams against you is going to be much higher, it’s going to be more difficult, I think to do this, to be as dominant as Ajax were in Holland.”
