Two areas Ziyech must improve at despite Chelsea 1-0 win vs Malmo
Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel in a post-match statement after his side recent win vs Swedish side Malmo has revealed two areas Morocco international Hakim Ziyech need to improve at.
Although Ziyech scored a second-half goal after a brilliant cross from Callum Hudson-Odoi, and it was all they needed to win all points vs Malmo, however, the Blues coach believes the Moroccan can do better.
Tuchel revealed he was happy to see Ziyech score his first goal since the UEFA Super Cup clash against Villarreal in August; he, however, added that the Morocco international can still improve his “decision-making” and become more “clinical” in front of goal.
Speaking about Ziyech at his post-match press conference, Tuchel said, “Still, I think there is space to improve for him in his decision-making and to be more consistent.
We always rely on his work-rate, counter-pressing, and awareness. It is a huge part of his performances.
“He can still be more clinical and maybe grow more into the rhythm, but I think his shoulder injury hurt him a lot.
“Even if he pushed hard to come back early, he is still not 100 per cent free as he should be, but I am happy because a goal like this will help. I am happy for him.”
