Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly been appointed as German club Bayern Munich’s new head coach.

The German was reportedly appointed by the German Bundesliga champions to replace Julian Nagelsmann and is now set to raid Chelsea for highly-rated coach Anthony Barry.

Recall that Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea owner Todd Boehly in September 2022 who signed former Brighton manager Graham Potter as his replacement.

However, Barry was among a selected number of coaches who were left by Boehly to remain at Chelsea following Tuchel’s sacking and retained by Graham Potter.

A report via the Telegraph revealed the 36-year-old is Tuchel’s main target as he would need to formulate his backroom staff quickly.

Barry was initially appointed at Stamford Bridge by Frank Lampard and is currently combining working for the Premier League giants with assisting the Portugal national team.

Meanwhile, Tottenham, who had earlier shown interest to bring Tuchel back to London as their manager will now have to focus elsewhere.
