Tuchel says former Bayern manager doesn’t need his advice about joining Chelsea
Former Chelsea and now Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel in a recent statement said that he will not advise Julian Nagelsmann on whether or not to take up the vacant position at Stamford Bridge.
It is no longer news that Naglesmann has reportedly been named as one of Todd Boehly’s first-choice managers to replace Graham Potter who was sacked as Chelsea manager on Sunday.
Recall that Potter, who left Brighton for Stamford Bridge in September came in as a replacement for Tuchel, who was shown the door.
Nagelsmann on the other other hand was sacked last week by Bayern Munich and Tuchel, who was out of a job, made his return to management at the German club.
Asked about Nagelsmann potentially becoming the new Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel told a press conference that he is not in a position to advise the 35-year-old.
“Julian is not gonna ask me because he doesn’t need my advice.”
