Tuchel reportedly identifies replacement for Rudiger

It is no longer news that Chelsea defender and Germany international Antonio Rudiger could soon be out of his way from Stamford Bridge.

This comes as the German defender is yet to reach an agreement with the Blues concerning a contract extension.

As of now, Rudiger has been linked with moves to Spanish club Real Madrid and German club Bayern Munich, both of which are monitoring his situation at Stamford Bridge.

It is believed that if an agreement is not reached between Rudiger and Chelsea before January, which is less than two weeks away, the German defender could be out of the club in the summer.

A report has now claimed that Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has found a replacement for Rudiger should he leave.

Tuchel wants to bring in Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe to replace Rudiger at Stamford Bridge, according to L’Equipe.

The German coach is eying a reunion with Kimpembe, who he worked with when he was in charge at PSG.

Tuchel and Kimpembe spent two years together at the Parc des Princes, winning Ligue 1 twice and also made it to the UEFA Champions League final in 2020.
