As Chelsea fans across the globe await the debut of Thomas Tuchel on the dugout, the German tactician is already planning for the future as hopes to storm his former club for the signature of high flying forward.

Thomas Tuchel was announced as Chelsea manager on an 18 months deal some hours ago as he hopes to revive the fortune of a team that looks like a shadow of itself under Frank Lampard.

The German manager is now set to take over the transfer window and Borussia Dortmund’s striker Erling Braut Haaland has been identified as his number one transfer target in this summer’s window.

Haaland has become one of the most sought after talent in Europe as he has been showing his class ever since he joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg.

According to the Daily Mail, Tuchel is eager to bring a new forward to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2021-22 campaign despite the fortune spent by Lampard.

Haaland is currently on fire in the Bundesliga and even though a lot of European teams are willing to sign him, Tuchel has reportedly viewed him as the priority target in the final third of the field.

Having found the back of the net on 21 occasions in 19 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season, Haaland has been scouted by Manchester City, Real Madrid and some other top clubs.

Though Borussia Dortmund have been adamant that their star player will not be leaving, a release clause in his contract is expected to come into play in 2022.
