Tuchel reacts to Rangnick’s speculated move to Man Utd
Chelsea coach and Germany international Thomas Tuchel has reacted to the speculated move of his fellow countryman Ralf Rangnick to Man Utd.
It is no longer news that the Red Devils would soon welcome the arrival of Rangnick as their interim coach for the rest of the season.
This comes after the sack of Ole Gunnar Soslskjaer a few weeks ago.
Rangnick is expected to arrive at Old Trafford in the next 48 hours, as the reports revealed he is only waiting for the Home Office to allocate him a work permit.
Tuchel, in his statement, spoke on the influence Rangnick had on him as a player and a coach.
“He helped me a lot because he was my coach and then he was one of the main figures to convince me to try coaching so he had a huge influence on all of us at this time,” the Chelsea manager told reporters on Friday.
“He showed us it’s not necessary to follow people to the toilet in football games because that was the belief these days, that the defenders follow the strikers wherever they go. He showed us it’s possible to defend everybody in a zone.
“But listen, before I get carried away and talk too much, he is not appointed yet and let’s respect everybody.
“Let’s respect Ralf and the club’s decision and when things are done then you can maybe talk about it.”
