Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has handed the names of two defenders to the club’s new owners amid the departure of Antonio Rudiger in the summer.

It is no longer news that Rudiger will leave Chelsea at the end of this season, and the German manager wants the new owners to sign two new defenders this summer.

Tuchel confirmed on Sunday that Rudiger would be leaving when the season is over as he has been linked to Real Madrid.

Aside from Rudiger, Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has reportedly agreed to a move to Barcelona as a free agent this summer, while captain Cesar Azpilicueta’s contract also expires this season.

The Telegraph reports that Tuchel wants the Blues’ new owners to finance the signing of two new defenders to compensate for the departures of Rudiger and Christensen.

The report revealed some of the names mentioned include Sevilla’s Jules Kounde and Villarreal’s Pau Torres, while Tuchel also admires RB Leipzig centre-back, Josko Gvardiol.

Tuchel reportedly views the 20-year-old Croatian defender as Rudiger’s potential replacement at Stamford Bridge.
