Tuchel believes Lukaku can learn from Werner

Following Timo Werner’s performance for the third time in a row against Crystal Palace, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has said the German performance makes it hard for him to leave him out every match.

Tuchel also believes Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku can also learn from the German star as he feels Werner’s rich vein of form can encourage another of the Belgian striker who is hoping to return after missing our last two matches through injury, and move on after being unable to take advantage of a good opportunity on his last appearance, in the first leg of our Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.

‘For sure. Romelu had a huge chance against Real Madrid and things can go so fast. Nobody knows what him scoring would have done to us, if he took his chance with a late header in the first leg.

‘What Timo’s done is exactly what he needs to do, of course. Wait, be patient, work hard and put the team first and be ready to help the team, because as a striker you can help within seconds and turn things around.’
