Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has admitted that his side’s last four Premier League performances have been far below the expected level.

Tuchel has now challenged his players to show a reaction at Cobham this week.

Chelsea have no midweek game this week and it’s the first time since the March international break.

Tuchel, however admitted he idea of his side needing to react to a poor result again is not a feeling he wants to become familiar with.

Chelsea will return to action during the weekend when they host Wolves next at Stamford Bridge, who have lost their last three matches without scoring.

‘It’s always important to react in the next game but, honestly, I don’t like that we have to react,’ Thomas said post-match.

‘I would like us to be a lot more consistent and at the moment, we struggle to play without mistakes in our game.

‘We are struggling to keep clean sheets and from this we struggle to get the results that we want and demand.

‘The last four matches have been absolutely disappointing and that is something we have to improve on.’
