The Red Devils are apparently getting ready to move for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano during the next summer’s transfer window.

Manchester United are believed to be in the market for another defender and had been connected with a swoop for Dayot Upamecano during the current window.

An ongoing report asserted that Manchester United would not be signing the young talented defender in the coming weeks, but as indicated report, a move ahead of the 2021-22 season is on the cards.

The 21-year-old Dayot Upamecano has a £38m release clause in his present contract but that won’t kick in until the next summer, implying that he would purportedly cost ‘essentially more’ than the buy out this summer.

Dayot Upamecano enjoyed a noteworthy 2019-20 season for RB Leipzig, playing in all competitions and helping the German side reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo have all been connected with moves from Manchester United, who are starting their new Premier League season at home to Crystal Palace on September 19.
