Chelsea in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a possible Kai Havertz move

Chelsea FC have apparently started talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a possible summer deal for attacker Kai Havertz.

The youngster has been in magnificent form for Bayer Leverkusen during the 2019-20 season, scoring multiple times and enlisting nine assists in 41 appearances for the club.

Various clubs, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Liverpool,, have been credited with an enthusiasm for the Germany attacker ahead of the 2020-21 season.

As indicated by Ivisionsport, Chelsea are currently leading the race and have recently opened talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a proposed move.

The report, however, claims that Kai Havertz would cost around £90m and that could be a problem for Frank Lampard’s side, who have effectively tied up a deal for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
