Chelsea are reportedly set to sell off some of their players in the January transfer window soon to commence.

The reports according to ESPN listed the Blues two center back defenders, England international, Fikayo Tomori and Germany international, Antonio Rudiger as the players to be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge.

Both Rudiger and Tomori have have only made one appearance in the  Premier League this season, and the report has revealed that coach Frank Lampard is open to sanctioning the duo’s departure in January.

The reports also hinted that Spanish giants, Barcelona have shown interest in Rudiger while Newcastle have been linked with moves to sign Tomori.

It would be best for both players to find game time elsewhere as Lampard prefers to play Kurt Zouma and summer signing Thiago Silva at the back following their impressive partnership that has so far help strengthen the Blues defence.

Where Chelsea are likely to finish in the EPL this season

The major issue however is if Chelsea will let Tomori and Rudiger leave the club on permanent bases or on loan.

In the case of Rudiger, there are chances the Blues could let him leave permanently considering his age, however, the Blues may want to reconsider any deal for Tomori and use it to their advantage as he has a future prospect of getting better overtime.
