Transfer Deals: Chelsea get boost ahead of January transfer window

Chelsea have gotten a booster ahead of the January transfer as they could be handed huge fund to sign in new players despite the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on clubs’ finances.

Recall that the Blues spent over £200m on some players in the summer window which  include the likes of Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, and Timo Werner, they also managed to retain N’Golo Kante as well as Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Well, it looks like the same could happen in January.

This comes as Chelsea billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich despite the effect of COVID-19 has been able to maintain a stable finance that could see the club complete transfer for West Ham United’s Declan Rice in particular.

According to the released report of the richest sport owners in 2020, Chelsea’s Abramovich tops the table when it comes to UK owners as he has a net worth of £9,641,205,000.

This is an indication that the Russian has a lot of funds at his disposal that could be used in January.

Aside Rice, the Blues will hope to complete transfer move for Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso. Also on the list is Bayern Munich player David Alaba and Juventus forward, Paulo Dybala.
