Tottenham Hotspur supposedly expect to meet with Maurizio Sarri one week from now as they plan for life after Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese manager has emerged as the bookmakers’ new favourites to be the next Premier League boss terminated from his post after his side’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United a weekend ago.

Jose Mourinho set an undesirable precedent of losing 10 top fligh matches in a single season for the first time with that loss on their own turf, and a new report guaranteed that Sarri is being looked at as a potential replacement for the 58-year-old.

As per Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spurs’ interest in ex-Chelsea boss Sarri is genuine, and the Lilywhites are planing to hold talks with the 62-year-old as early as one week from now as Daniel Levy weighs up his services alternatives.

The report adds that Mauricio Sarri is contemplating his next career move subsequent to being made aware of Tottenham’s interest, however Roma and Napoli are both practical destination for the former Juventus boss, who has been out of the managements since being sacked by the Old Lady the last summer.

Under Jose Mourinho, Spurs endured an embarrassing last-16 Europa League exit to Dinamo Zagreb, and the North London side are six points adrift of top four in the Premier League with seven games left to play.
