Top Premier League manager hints at next coaching job
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his desire to coach a national team before the end of his career.
Guardiola’s contract with the Premier League champions doesn’t end until 2025 and so far he has not ruled out agreeing fresh terms.
In the past, the Citizens manager has been linked to roles with Brazil, England and the United States.
However, Guardiola in a recent statement has now admitted he would like to take charge at a major tournament.
When asked by ESPN Brasil what was left for him to achieve, Guardiola said: “A national team.
“I would like to train a national team for a World Cup or a European Championship. I would like that.”
When Guardiola was asked which country he prefers to coach, he replied: “I don’t know who would want me! To work for a national team they have to want you, just like a club.”
