Thomas Tuchel’s take on Chelsea signing Neymar

A report has revealed Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel’s decision to the club’s interest in Paris Saint Germain PSG star Neymar Jr.

It is believed that Neymar is not enthused by the prospect of the Blues to sign the Brazilian this summer.

While PSG’s new manager wants Neymar to remain in France, the club’s hierarchy are, however, open to letting the 30-year-old leave this summer.

The issue is that any club interested in signing the Brazil international must be ready to spend big as his annual salary stands at €43 million (£36.4m) before bonuses.

Chelsea are among the few clubs who could afford to sign the Brazil star and the club’s new co-owner, Todd Boehly, has held talks about the possibility.

However, the Evening Standard reports that Tuchel is ‘lukewarm’ to the idea of having Neymar in his squad.

The report added that Tuchel’s stance on Neymar, who he once managed at PSG, could change later in the window if Chelsea struggle to bolster their attack.
