Chelsea currently boast of experience defenders in their backline and luck must shine on any young player that will force his way into the squad.

With the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva still up and running, chances of Trevoh Chalobah making the team is slim.

The youngster have now been linked with a move to Spanish side Valencia but Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reportedly told the club’s transfer hierarchy that he should not be sold at all costs.

According to a new report from Goal, Tuchel is considering moving Chalobah from the club’s loan group and into the first-team squad.

Tuchel prefers having the youngster in his team this season than sending him out on loan for another long loan season.

Chalobah has spent the previous three seasons on loan but he has never been loaned to Spain.

The youngster is yet to make a competitive appearance for Chelsea and it’s left to see if he will break that jinx this season.
