This Chelsea goalkeeper described as world class

Liverpool right-back and England international Trent Alexander-Arnold in a recent statement, described Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy as ‘world-class.’

This comes after Chelsea and Liverpool went head to head last Sunday in the English Premier League.

The game, which was played at Stamford Bridge, ended in a 2-2 scoreline as both sides ended up splitting points.

While Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the early lead, Chelsea came back to equalise thanks to goals from Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic.

However, the second half of the game was difficult as neither Chelsea nor Liverpool could find the net despite creating several chances with both goalkeepers, Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher and Mendy denying the attempts on several occasions.

“…We had the better chances in the second half,” he told Liverpool official website.

“But when you are up against a world-class team with a world-class goalkeeper he makes world-class saves. So, like I said, I think a point apiece is fair.”
