Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag in a recent statement reacted to Anthony’s return to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils manager, who revealed Anthony was not a distraction, hinted that he could start for the club soon.

Recall that Antony’s return to training comes amid domestic abuse allegations made against him.

The Red Devils in a statement on Friday confirmed that Antony was available for selection, having spent the few weeks dealing with allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.

When asked for his thoughts on the matter, Ten Hag simply said: “We make the statement, so I refer to the statement; everything has been made clear in the statement.

“No, I don’t think it’s a distraction [on the rest of the squad]. We will focus on the games. He will do as well.”

Meanwhile, Man Utd will return to action this weekend when they welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford for the second time this season.
