A report via the Sun UK claims the Blues are hoping to sign Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling this summer and are ready to part way with £60million for him

Sterling, 27, will be a free agent next year the report revealed that discussion over a new deal with Man City have stalled.

While manager Pep Guardiola, would like Sterling to remain at Etihad, the club hierarchy, however, doesn’t want to lose him on a free transfer next summer.

The report revealed that Chelsea’s new owners are ready to back Thomas Tuchel with a £200m which would help him sign new players as they hope to battle it out with Man City and Liverpool next season.

Sterling is said to want a move to Chelsea, but would only do so if there are assurances from Tuchel that he would play regularly.

Tuchel already has more than enough strikers in Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic, but there are future at the club is in doubt.

Except they leave, Tuchel is unlikely to be able to offer Sterling the guarantee of first-team football he wants.
