Manchester United have made their intentions known in this summer transfer window by bringing in Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

However, the club fans are still in the dark over the contract of Paul Pogba at the club.

Pogba who joined the club from Juventus in 2016 is yet to agree to a new contract at Manchester United, with less than 11 months remaining on his current deal.

Real Madrid are currently one of the clubs monitoring his situation and the latest report about his future might not bring smile to the faces of united fans.

According to a new report from Spanish newspaper ABC , Real Madrid decided to let go of Martin Odegaard for £30million in a bid to sign Paul Pogba next summer.

Odegaard completed a permanent move to Arsenal in a deal that might rise to £34million with add-ons but has other plan for Paul Pogba.

The report from ABC claims Pogba will move to the Santiago Bernabeu on a free transfer next summer and Real Madrid chiefs anticipated this with Odegaard’s departure.

Solskjaer has insisted that talks are ongoing with Pogba’s representative but there are also reports claiming the former Juventus midfielder is not going to sign a new deal.

The deal on the table for Pogba at United is believed to be worth an eye-watering £400,000 per week, which Los Blancos would have struggled to match without selling players.

But the sale of Odegaard has given Carlo Ancelotti’s side another huge boast in the pursuit of Pogba.
