Spanish club send clear message to Chelsea concerning the pursuit of their star man

Spanish side Sevilla have informed Chelsea that they want a straight cash deal for their defender Jules Kounde rather than any players in exchange.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Kounde as they are reportedly set to offer central defender Kurt Zouma as part of their deal for the French international.

However, a new report from Marca has insisted that Sevilla have notified Chelsea that they will only part with their defender for their valuation of the player.

Reports in that past few weeks has indicated that Chelsea are eager to use Zouma in a part-exchange deal to lower their total transfer outgoing on the deal.

Chelsea were reportedly willing to offer Sevilla £25million and Zouma moving to Spain.

The blues are now left at a crossroad as they might be forced to look elsewhere for a centre-back or stick with their current players.

Chelsea can still complete the deal without involving Zouma as the blues secured the bag after winning the UEFA Champions League last season ahead of fellow Premier League rivals, Manchester City.
