Silva rate Chelsea colleague highly

Chelsea centre-back defender and Brazil international Thiago Silva has said his colleague Reece James could go down as one of the best players in history.

This comes after the 22-year-old England star, scored one and created an assist to help the Blues defeat AC Milan 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The win against AC Milan was Chelsea’s first win in the Champions League this season, having lost their first game to Dinamo Zagreb and drew their second with RB Salzburg.

“It’s easy to talk about him because he is someone I really like,” Silva told Hayters.

“He is one of the strengths of our team, both offensively and defensively.

“I hope he can continue like this, because if he keeps this winning mentality, he has everything to be one of the best in history.”

Following Chelsea’s win against the Italian side in the UCL, the Blues will now focus on their next game against the Wolves this weekend.
