Sergio Aguero names Chelsea star among five best defenders he has ever played against

Former Man City star Sergio Aguero in a recent statement has listed the top five best defenders he has ever played against throughout his career.

Aguero has been reflecting upon his football career, having been forced into early retirement this season due to health reasons.

This comes after the 33-year-old suffered a heart scare while playing for Barcelona in October.

During his career, he also featured for Atletico Madrid.

Aguero, during a question and answer session on Twitter, replied to a question from a fan who asked who his five toughest defensive opponents were in his career.

The former Man City star named three defenders from the English Premier League stars, and they are John Terry, Rio Ferdinand and Virgil van Dijk.

The remaining two were from the Spanish LaLiga, and they were Carles Puyol and Sergio Ramos.

Aguero played against Puyol and Ramos during his time at Atletico Madrid before he moved to the Premier League.

Terry and Ferdinand, though now retired, are still rated highly as some of the best defenders in Europe; Liverpool’s defender Van Dijk is still active at Anfield.
