Saudi club confirms signing Chelsea midfielder

It is a goodbye for France star N’Golo Kante as Saudi club Al-Ittihad have confirmed signing him from Chelsea.

Janet became a free agent this summer after his contract with the Blues expired as negotiations for a renewal of his deal at Stamford Bridge failed to happen even though new manager, Mauricio Pochettino attempted to keep him at the club.

Kante has now joined the list of players with big names to head to the Saudi Pro League and will be playing against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema next season.

Recall that the French midfielder joined Leicester City from French club Caen in 2015 and helped the Foxes win the Premier League title at odds of 5000/1.

His impressive form saw him move to Chelsea a year later where he won a second Premier League title as well as the FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
